Secular Franciscan Order

Founded in 1221 by St. Francis of Assisi for lay people wishing to enhance their spiritual lives. For nearly 800 years many saints have been members of the Order.

We have a Rule of Life, based on the Gospels and our Profession is a life-long commitment.

Meet: 4th Sunday of every month

Venue: Holy Cross Church

For: Prayer, study, refreshments, a raffle for local charities and time before the Blessed Sacrament.

We have a common fund collection each month, which is distributed among various good causes, for example: SVP conferences in our pastoral area; aid to the church in need, the Prebend Day Centre , the Salvation Army, the Mutemwa Leper Colony in Zimbabwe, CAFOD and others.
