Baptism Preparation
About the class
The purpose of Baptism preparation is to explain the sacrament and the Baptism service to couples who want to have their child/children baptised.
There is also discussion about the responsibilities of parents bringing up their children as Christians, the practicalities of attending Mass and the facilities and activities available to families in the parishes.
When to attend
Baptism preparation is held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm at Holy Cross Church (except for August and October due to holidays). The class is run by Deacon Tony. The sacrament of Baptism can be celebrated during Mass at either Holy Cross Church, Ss Philip & James Church, or as a stand-alone service.
How to attend
Celebrating the sacrament during Mass serves to introduce the child/children to the community in which they will live. If you want your child to receive the sacrament of Baptism, please contact Deacon Tony.
