Churches in the Catholic Diocese of Northampton are grouped into Pastoral Areas (previously known as Deaneries). Each area has a Pastoral Area Council made up of clergy, religious and lay representatives from each parish.

The Bedfordshire Pastoral Area Council meets regularly;

• to support the mission of the Bishop and Parish Priests, consistent with diocesan planning,
• to communicate, co-ordinate and strengthen relationships between parishes and schools,
• to build the church in and beyond the area, through our mission of witness and service.
